Minot (William) House is built.

Architect: Peter Banner. It is located at 61 Beacon Street. Built for the judge and Jamaica Plain land owner, the house is destroyed by a fire in 1824, rebuilt, and remains in the family for many years. It is purchased by Christian Herter by 1927. The building is subsequently converted to into apartments and then into condominiums in 1979.
